The Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR) continued its support and sponsorship of the University of Bahrain Arbitration Day for the second consecutive year. This year's event, held at the University's E-Learning Center, was centred around the theme "Practical Problems in Arbitration of Construction Disputes in the Kingdom of Bahrain."
The event featured a series of sessions designed to address various facets of arbitration in the construction sector.
Ahmed Husain, Acting CEO of BCDR, contributed to the programme by speaking on the session titled "Construction Disputes between Free Arbitration and Institutional Arbitration." This session explored the distinctions and practical implications of choosing between free arbitration and institutional arbitration methods in the context of construction disputes.
Joining Ahmed Husain in this session were Dr. Kamal Al Hamad, Secretary General of the Gulf Commercial Arbitration Center, and Lawyer Ahmed Al-Thukair from Ahmed Al-Thukair & Partners Office. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Mohammad Waleed Al-Masri, Associate Professor at the College of Law at the University of Bahrain.
