Professor Marike Patrani Paulsson, Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR) and Secretary-General of the Council for International Dispute Resolution of the Kingdom of Bahrain, spoke at the "AI for Justice" Symposium hosted by Jus Mundi during Paris Arbitration Week 2026. Participating alongside leading figures from arbitral institutions, academia, and legal technology, she contributed perspectives on how artificial intelligence can responsibly support fair, efficient, and transparent international dispute resolution.
Professor Paulsson highlighted Bahrain's recent initiatives at the United Nations and in its own institutions to integrate technology into the judiciary, arbitration and mediation while preserving due process and party autonomy. She also underlined the importance of cooperation between courts, arbitral centres, and AI providers to ensure that innovation strengthens, rather than undermines, trust in neutral justice. Her participation at the symposium reflects Bahrain's broader strategy to position itself as a forward-looking hub for technology-enabled dispute resolution and global legal collaboration.
