From 3 to 5 May 2014, an International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) dialogue on the 1958 New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards brought together judges from the appeal and cassation courts of 13 Arab countries and formulated recommendations to improve the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards in the Arab world. The dialogue was organized by Prof. Nassib G. Ziadé, CEO of the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR-AAA), and Prof. Marike Paulsson, a member of ICCA’s Judiciary Committee.

BCDR signs a cooperation agreement with the Permanent Court of Arbitration
On December 4 2013, the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR-AAA) and the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) concluded a Cooperation Agreement in The Hague. The Chamber’s CEO Mr. Nassib Ziade and the PCA Deputy Secretary-General Mr. Brooks Daly signed the Agreement at a signing ceremony that took place at the Peace Palace.
Professor Nassib G. Ziadé as new CEO of the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution
The Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR-AAA) announced the appointment of Nassib G. Ziadé as the Chamber’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective 1 October 2013.
