BCDR Chief Registrar participates in "Arbitration Auction" panel at Dubai Arbitration Week 2025

Fatema Al Zayed Al Jalahma, Chief Registrar of the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR), participated in the panel discussion titled “Arbitration Auction: Bidding for the Future of Dispute Resolution” at Dubai Arbitration Week 2025. The event brought together leading experts and institutions at the Dubai International Financial Centre for a creative, auction-themed debate on the future of international dispute resolution solutions.

During the panel, participants presented innovative ideas to advance arbitration and dispute settlement. Al Jalahma reiterated BCDR’s commitment to global best practices, highlighting Bahrain’s achievements in bilingual proceedings, impartial justice, and the enforceability of decisions.

Her contribution focused on the launch of the Bahrain International Commercial Court and the introduction of Global Justice Bay, which together reflect Bahrain’s commitment to providing fair, accessible, and internationally recognised commercial justice for regional and global parties. These initiatives position the Kingdom of Bahrain at the forefront of legal innovation, offering a specialised forum for complex cross-border disputes and creating a new hub for international legal collaboration and dispute resolution.

Her participation emphasises the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution’s leading role in fostering regional cooperation and innovation, in line with Bahrain’s reputation in international justice. Her remarks highlighted the institution’s aim to expand cross-border cooperation, enhance recognition and enforceability of judgments, and support the evolving needs of international business and investment communities.
