BCDR proudly participated in the International Bar Association's (IBA) Annual Conference in Toronto, Canada from 2 to 7 November 2025. Delegates from BCDR included Bassam Beidas, Finance & Administration Diretor, and Yusuf Janahi, Case Manager.
The conference, which drew more than 5,500 attendees from more than 130 jurisdictions, featured a wide range of sessions addressing universal issues including attacks on and the importance of upholding and advancing the rule of law; the climate crisis and climate justice; the adoption, impact, integration and regulation of artificial intelligence (AI) as well as related ethical issues; human rights; corporate governance; access to justice; mental health and wellbeing; women and diversity in the legal profession; and cross-border trade, investment, sanctions and resources.
As a longtime supporter of the IBA, BCDR has maintained a consistent presence at the organization's annual conferences for the past fifteen years. This year's participation underscores BCDR's commitment to the promotion of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms available in Bahrain to the global legal community and its ongoing efforts to strengthen its leading presence during global discussions on important legal issues.
