Aysha Abdullah Mutaywea

Aysha Mutaywea is a Bahraini lawyer and managing partner of Mena Chambers Bahrain, with rights of audience before the Cassation and  Constitutional Courts of Bahrain.  She has more than 15 years' experience in practice in litigation and international arbitration. She serves as counsel in arbitration and has sat as an arbitrator in a number of international arbitration cases.  She is experienced in the laws of the MENA Region and advises international clients on a wide range of disputes including civil, commercial, corporate, finance (Islamic and non-Islamic), banking, franchise, corporate governance, technology, sports, telecommunication, real estate, construction, infrastructure and aviation disputes.

Aysha holds a bachelor's degree in law from ASU University and a master's degree in international dispute resolution from Queen Mary University, London.

She served on the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Court of Arbitration for six years.  She currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of ICC Bahrain and is the Head of the ICC ADR and Arbitration Committee of Bahrain.  She also represents Bahrain on the Panel of arbitrators and conciliators at International Centre for Settlement of Investment Dispute (ICSID).  She is also an arbitrator at the Court of Sports Arbitration (CAS).
