Global Justice Bay Signs Agreement to Establish Office in London

On the sidelines of Paris Arbitration Week 2026, Professor Marike Patrani Paulsson, Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR) and Secretary General of the Council for International Dispute Resolution of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Damian Hickman, Chief Executive Officer of IDRC, signed an agreement between Bahrain’s Global Justice Bay (GJB) and the International Dispute Resolution Centre (IDRC) in London to establish a dedicated GJB office within the IDRC’s premises in London.

The agreement was signed during a ceremony held in Paris, in the presence of Essam Abdulaziz Aljassim, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the French Republic, alongside distinguished legal and institutional figures.

The new office will serve as Bahrain’s international presence in one of the world’s leading dispute resolution hubs. It aims to enhance cooperation between Bahrain and London in the field of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, while further anchoring Global Justice Bay within a global legal ecosystem.

Professor Paulsson underscored the significance of this initiative in reinforcing Bahrain’s position as a regional and international hub for dispute resolution, noting that the agreement marks an important step in enhancing international legal cooperation and strengthening Bahrain’s standing in the global arbitration landscape.

On his part, Hickman emphasised the IDRC’s commitment to fostering global partnerships and facilitating high-quality dispute resolution services, noting that the establishment of GJB’s presence in London will enhance cooperation between leading international legal centres.
