BCDR's Presence at 26th ICCA Congress Highlights Bahrain’s Judicial and Arbitration Expertise

The Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR) made a notable presence at the 26th Congress of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), held in Hong Kong. The Congress provided a vital platform for showcasing BCDR's offerings, with the BCDR occupying a prominent exhibition booth. Salman Ahmed, Case Manager, was present at the booth and engaged with attendees and highlighted BCDR's unique features. Ahmed Husain, Acting CEO of BCDR, was also present at the Congress and actively engaged with the larger legal community throughout the event.

Judge Fatema Faisal Hubail, a Judge at the Bahrain Appeal Court and a member of the BCDR Court, participated in a panel discussion titled "Judging the New York Convention." The panel focused on the interpretation and application of the New York Convention by courts, examining the critical role of judges and practitioners in upholding its principles. Judge Hubail shared insights on the complexities involved in judicial oversight and the balance required between supportive enforcement and non-interference with arbitration proceedings.
