LCIA’s Arbitration International reports on BCDR International Arbitration Review
Arbitration International, the official journal of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), carried a report on the BCDR International Arbitration Review by leading arbitrator Constantine Partasides QC in its fourth issue of 2017.
Partasides readily acknowledges the importance of the BCDR International Arbitration Review for the region, noting that the special issue on arbitration in Egypt contains material in English and Arabic “relevant to the international arbitration practitioner whose clients or cases take her to Egypt,” as well as “practical and insightful commentary on enforcing arbitral awards in Egypt.”
But Partasides also stresses that the value of the BCDR International Arbitration Review extends beyond the Arab world, making it a “source of law, practice and opinion of general import” and “a platform also for global figures to contribute on global subjects.”
Partasides concludes by assuring those who might question whether there is a need for such a journal that the BCDR International Arbitration Review is “providing a rich and emphatic answer from a region of the world that has its own contribution to make to the state of our art.”
