Vice Chairperson Holds High-Level Meeting with China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC)

The Vice Chairperson of the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution held a high-level meeting with the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) in Beijing, reflecting the growing cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the People’s Republic of China in the field of international dispute resolution.

The meeting was attended by Professor Marike Patrani Paulsson, Vice Chairperson of the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution, and H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ghassan Mohamed Adnan Shaikho, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the People’s Republic of China, alongside Mr. Wang Chengjie, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of CIETAC, and senior representatives from the Chinese side.

Discussions focused on strengthening institutional cooperation and advancing future collaboration between the Council and CIETAC in the fields of arbitration, mediation, and international dispute resolution. The meeting also explored developments relating to artificial intelligence and its evolving role in dispute resolution, in addition to discussions concerning the Hawar Circle initiative and the Beijing Summit.

The engagement reflects Bahrain’s continued efforts to deepen international partnerships with leading legal and dispute resolution institutions and reinforces the Kingdom’s growing role as a regional and international hub for dispute resolution and legal dialogue.
