In 2014, the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR-AAA) launched an International Arbitration Training Program in collaboration with leading Arab and international arbitration experts. The program, which takes place at the BCDR-AAA's premises at the Diplomatic Area in Manama, Bahrain, is part of BCDR-AAA's efforts to develop local and regional legal expertise in international arbitration, and to spread the awareness of arbitration as a more viable option in dispute resolution.
The program is provided in Arabic and is comprised of three modules with each module offered in 12 training hours over the span of two days. The first module covers arbitration rules and the arbitration agreement. The second module covers the arbitration committee and the procedures for arbitration. The third module covers the enforcement as well as the annulment of the arbitral award.
