Elie Kleiman

Elie Kleiman is a partner in the global law firm Jones Day and he is based in Paris, France.  He has 30 years of experience in dispute resolution, with a significant focus on international arbitration.  As counsel, he has been involved in many high-profile disputes involving complex, business-sensitive issues arising from diverse areas of the law (investment, trade, joint ventures, shareholders' agreements, long-term contracts, share purchase agreements and representations and warranties, licensing, distribution, EPC contracts, etc.) and extending over a wide range of industries (energy and natural resources, chemicals, life sciences, healthcare, infrastructure, transportation and logistics, aerospace, telecommunications, banking and financial services, media, technology, retail).  He regularly sits as an arbitrator and as a mediator.

Elie Kleiman is also very active in the promotion of international arbitration through various think tanks and non-profits organizations. He teaches international dispute resolution at several Paris universities. He is a member of the Paris Bar. He is fluent in English and French.
